With the bare minimum of disturbance to the natural beauty, The Abaco Club is a private beach-front sporting retreat where members and guests can become one with nature, unwind and be subtly pampered by an attentive staff. The atmosphere will be relaxed and of casual elegance. The tranquil pace of The Abaco Club will allow our Members and guests to enjoy more than 100 species of native flora and fauna in a natural and rustic setting.
The Abaco Club's Bahamian Village Cottages comprise two and three bedroom homes. Starting high atop Ocean Ridge, the cottages cascade down the hill to the tranquil waters of Winding Bay below. Bahamian Village Cottage owners may, if they wish, place their homes in a rental pool for Members and guests of the The Abaco Club. There are also available a limited number of lots of approximately two acres each, upon which Members may build their own home.
The finishing holes of our championship "tropical links" course rest comfortably on Ocean Ridge. The 18th hole is a par 5, playing alongside the ocean at elevations of 50 feet. It is destined to rank among the great finishing holes in golf.
The Abaco Club on Winding Bay, has a stunning design and signature Scottish-style tropical links championship golf course dominating the landscape. Environmentally sensitive with a cast-a-way' flavor, this Bahamian experience is aimed at the discerning few who appreciate a tropical paradise that is easy to reach. Located just 170 miles east of Palm Beach on the island of Abaco, Bahamas, the international private members' club has the trademark of all de Savary's elegant and diverse private estates, which have included all of the St. James Clubs; the Carnegie Club at Skibo Castle; and Bovey Castle in Dartmoor National Park in England, among others. Situated on a peninsula of more than 500 acres and surrounded by its own 2 miles of deep, powder soft sand beach and highlighted by bluffs, the property is magnificent. Traveling to the club could not be easier. There are daily non-stop flights into Nassau and Florida and the club's luxurious plane is available for charter. In addition, the Club's own FBO with Customs and Immigration is available to members and guests.
