Anguilla, with a population of over 13,000, is a British Overseas Territory, 16 miles long, and 3 miles at her widest point. Located in the Caribbean, it is one of the most northerly of the Leeward Islands in the Lesser Antilles, its nearest neighbor to the south is St. Martin/Sint Maarten, a distance of approximately 4 miles.
In addition to the main island of Anguilla itself which is approximately 26 km (16 miles) long by 5 km (3 miles) wide at its widest point, a number of much smaller islands and cays, mostly tiny and uninhabited are considered part of Anguilla.
Anguilla enjoys a tropical, though rather dry climate, moderated by northeast trade winds with very little temperatures variation throughout the year Boasting 33 beautiful white sand beaches with crystal clear waters, a contemporary international style, extraordinary vistas, world-class accommodations and mouth-watering cuisine, Anguilla is the culmination of ones search for the idyllic tropical escape.
While the government has taken an active role in limiting the number of Anguilla real estate developments, a number of prominent and well respected resorts are moving forward and currently in the process of marketing and selling properties.
