Many countries in the West Indies can trace their legal systems back to England when it was a colonial power. An equal number have developed their own systems mixing English, US, Spanish et al. And whether it is something as basic as which side of the road to drive on, or as complicated as the procurement of a work visa, the Laws and Regulations are unique to that country.
