Attorney Requirements
An attorney is not required for a real estate closing to take place in Cayman, but it is highly suggested to receive professional advice. The fee structure for a purchase is usually based on a percentage of the purchase price of the property.
Lending
Non-Cayman buyers may open bank accounts and borrow to finance a purchase. Local banks will generally lend between approximately 50-75% of the property value to foreigners for a term of 15 to 20 years.
